After you have received your username and password, select the UNLV-Sponsored network in your wifi settings.

1. From the device that you are trying to configure, connect to the UNLV-WiFi Wi-Fi network (available from on campus only) or navigate directly to wifi.unlv.edu (available from on or off campus).
2. Click Configure Device.
3. In the Select your device list, check that your version of Windows is selected.
4. Click JoinNow.
5. Download the setup file when prompted.
6. Go to your Downloads and click UNLV_eduroam_Configuration.exe to open the installer.
7. If a security warning pops up, press Yes or Run to run the application.
8. Enter your ACE account username and password in the new window and click Next.
9. Once you see the progress message “Joined” press Done to close the program.
You should now be connected to eduroam. You can verify your connection in your Wi-Fi settings.
1. From the device that you are trying to configure, connect to the UNLV-WiFi Wi-Fi network (available from on campus only) or navigate directly to wifi.unlv.edu (available from on or off campus).
2. Click Configure Device.
3. In the Select your device list, check that Linux is selected.
4. Click JoinNow.
5. When prompted, save the setup file.
6. Open Terminal and type these commands:
cd Downloads
sh SecureW2_JoinNow.run
7. When prompted, enter your ACE account username and password.
8. Once the script is complete, close Terminal.
9. Confirm connection to eduroam network by clicking the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray
This guide is designed for MacOS Catalina and later. If you are on an older version of MacOS some instructions will vary. Follow the in-application instructions and contact the IT Help Desk if you require assistance.
1. From the device that you are trying to configure, connect to the UNLV-WiFi network
If you are enrolling from off-campus navigate directly to wifi.unlv.edu in a web browser and skip to step 3
2. A window will open automatically asking you to accept the UNLV-WiFi terms of service. Click Continue
3. Select Connect to eduroam
4. The system may prompt you to open the link in your default web browser. If so, click Allow
5. On the Select your device list, ensure that the correct version of MacOS is selected.
6. Click Join Now. The program file UNLV_eduroam_Configuration.dmg will download
7. Double click the UNLV_eduroam_Configuration.dmg file in your Downloads folder. In the window that opens double click the UNLV_eduroam_Configuration file
8. If prompted, click Open to allow the application to launch
9. When prompted, enter your ACE account username and password and press Next
10. If prompted, enter a computer administrators username and password to allow the program to make changes
11. The application will describe the process of installing a system profile. Thoroughly read the message and click next when you are ready to proceed
12. The profile will be automatically downloaded and the Profiles menu will open. Click Install... in the upper right corner to continue
13. The system will ask for confirmation that you wish to install the profile. Click Install to proceed
14. The system will prompt you to authenticate. Use Touch ID or enter your computer password
15. The application will request access to your keychain. Enter your computer password and click Always Allow. Note: If you select "Allow" instead of Always Allow you will be prompted for your computer password every time you connect to eduroam. It is highly recommended that you click Always Allow
16. Once you see the progress message “Joined...” press Done to close the program.
You should now be connected to the eduroam network. You can verify that you are connected to the eduroam network by clicking on the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar.
This guide is designed for iOS 14 and later. If you are using an older version of iOS some instructions will vary. Follow the in-application instructions and contact the IT Help Desk if you require assistance.
If you are enrolling from off-campus navigate directly to wifi.unlv.edu in a web browser and skip to step 4.
1. Open the Settings application and select Wi-Fi
2. Select UNLV-WiFi
3. A window will open automatically asking you to accept the UNLV-WiFi terms of service. Click Continue
4. Select Connect to eduroam
5. The system may request to open the link in your default web browser. Select Open
6. Enter your ACE username and password and select JoinNow
7. The system will request permission to install a system profile. Select Allow
8. You may be asked to select which device you wish to install the system profile on. Select whichever device is appropriate. Note: You can enroll additional devices at a later time by following this process again.
10. The system will confirm that a profile has been downloaded. Select Close
11. Open the Settings application. Near the top there should be a new entry for Profile Downloaded Select Profile Downloaded
12. The system will present the configuration profile details. Select Install in the top right corner to proceed
13. The system will prompt for your passcode. Enter your passcode and select Done in the top right corner
14. The system will warn you that a new certificate authority will be installed. Select Install in the top right corner to continue
15. The system will ask you to confirm the instalation. Select Install to proceed
16. The system will return to the profile installation menu. "Enrolling Certificate" will briefly be seen at the top of the menu
17. Once the profile installation completes select Done in the top right corner
You should now be connected to eduroam. You can verify your connection in your Wi-Fi settings. If a check mark appears next to eduroam, your device is connected.
Android enrollment varies significantly depending on your hardware manufacturer and Android version. These instrutions may not be applicable to all devices. Follow the on-screen instructions and see the Securew2 android troubleshooting page for tips. Contact the IT Help Desk if you require assistance.
If you are enrolling from off-campus navigate directly to wifi.unlv.edu in a web browser and skip to step 4.
1. From the device that you are trying to configure, connect to the UNLV-WiFi network.
2. A notification prompting you to sign in to the Wi-Fi network should appear. Tap the notification to proceed. Note: If a notification does not appear open a web broswer and navigate to wifi.unlv.edu
3. You will be asked to accept the UNLV-WiFi terms of service. Click Continue
4. Select Connect to eduroam
5. Select Download. The google play store will open. Select Install and complete the process of installing the SecureW2 App from the Google Play Store
6. Return to your web browser and select JoinNow
7. Enter your ACE username and password then select Continue
8. The application will issue and install the certificate. A notification will appear asking if you would like to connect to Wi-Fi networks suggested by JoinNow MultiOS. Select yes. Do not decline or dismiss this notification or you will be forced to reconfigure your device. Note: On Android 10 this notification may take several minutes to appear due to an Android bug confirmed by Google. If the notification does not appear see this page for troubleshooting tips.
9. Your device should now be connected to eduroam. You can verify your connection in your Wi-Fi settings.
If you have been provided credentials, skip to Step 2

2. Select UNLV-Sponsored Account Creation
3. Enter your First Name, Last Name, valid email, and CAPTCHA
4. Retrieve your credentials from your email
Username: Your UNLV-Sponsored username
Password: Your UNLV-Sponsored password
Network Name (SSID): UNLV-Sponsored
Network Authentication: WPA2 or WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type: AES
EAP Type or Network Authentication Method: PEAP (MS-Chap v2) or GTC
Remove the UNLV-WiFi network from your device
Username: Your UNLV-Sponsored username
Password: Your UNLV-Sponsored password
Network Name (SSID): UNLV-Sponsored
Network Authentication: WPA2 or WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type: AES
EAP Type or Network Authentication Method: PEAP (MS-Chap v2) or GTC
Remove the UNLV-WiFi network from your device
1. Click on the wireless icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar. (If you don't see the button, click the up arrow button on the left.)
2. Select UNLV-Sponsored from the list of available wireless networks
3. Enter your UNLV-Sponsored username and password, and click Next
